THE NEXT BEST THING! Sealed with a Kiss. New WIP.

Here's the deal... ten things about  my current WIP!
I was tagged by Karyn Gerrad & Marissa Farrar to answer these ten questions, and I'm now tagging YOU. Yes, if you're an author and you are reading this, you have just been tagged!
Where did the idea come from for the book?
Funny story; I had just watched Martin Clunes' (Doc Martin) documentary on the British Isles and had decided I HAD to write a series set on one of those Isles. I just had to! And it'd be paranormal with a small town type feel. Fast forward to the next day. Decadent Publishing put a call out for stories set in, yup, the British Isles. WOOHOOO

What genre does your book fall under?
Paranormal erotic romance - It'll probably be categorized into a shifter romance, as the first story is set around the selkie myth.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?
Jonathan Rhys Meyers, maybe..I don't know of any  British actors who are similar to how I imagine Finn Kneale in my story, but he is about as close as I could get. Kirsty Gallacher for the heroine Anne Ward.
What is a one sentence synopsis of your book?
Not ready to share that information just yet ;) sorry! But if the story gets accepted, you guys will be the first know ;)
Will your book be self published or represented by an agency?
I will be submitting it to Decadent Publishing for their 1Night Stand imprint/series
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
Three-ish weeks. I just finished today.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre.
A grown up, sexier version of The Little Mermaid.
Who or What inspired you to write this book?
No idea. It came from somewhere deep within my crazy imagination.
What else about your book might interest the reader?
Prepare for a magical, mystical, and sexy ride -- hot, rough and ready men who work with their hands will be your guide in these stories...and NOTHING will be what it seems.

  1. Ooh, I love Jonathan Rhys Meyers! Great to hear you're getting back to your British roots - in your fiction, at least! Sexy mermaid story sounds great.
