Thanks to everyone who commented on my Six Sentence Sunday post last week, the feedback was really appreciated!
And, here's this weeks edition :) which I've titled, Squished Rock Star. It's from Rock You Like A Hurricane, my retro romance which is in revisions. The snippet follows on, almost, where we left off from last weeks Six Sunday; Sadie is still being pursued by infamous Rocker and frontman for Sirenic, a hairband rock group.
“I’ll suffocate to death if you leave me out here, or lose the clothes off my back.” Sounds of pushing and shoving leaked through the fragile door, and bodyguards yammered for back-up through their walky-talkies. Trouble was stirring, and Sadie didn't want her photo splashed across the tabloids; Sirenic fans were crazy, they'd be out for her blood.
“Okay, okay. Keep your knickers on. I don’t fancy having to explain to the police why there’s a naked, squished rock star outside my office.
For those new to Six Sunday, why not pop on over to see what the other authors taking part in Six Sunday have posted this week, and how to take part yourself -- fantastic stuff!

ReplyDeleteLOL Knickers... it's funny because I think 'panties' is a funny words, it almost feels dirty for some reason -- love how American English is so very different to Brit and Aussie English, it causes lots of fun (and problems) during edits LMAO both writer and editor ends up learning a few new words and phrases hehe
