“I’m curious...” Ryker strutted toward her, his decadent hazel eyes set on her. As if time had zapped them back to the first time she had seen him, she struggled for air and a smart answer. He proceeded with his seduction by taking her glasses off. And, with a disregard only he could have, he sent them hurdling to the floor. He yanked her to him, the masterful touch whirling her into submission. She could feel his hard bulge hiding behind denim, and heat radiated between her legs. She forgot her train of thought. Oh yeah, his smile, I was thinking about his smile. A distant voice of reason screamed “no” in her head, yet her body screamed out “hell yes”. So far, it was neck and neck. But if things kept up, her body would win that battle. Ghetto blaster cue: “You Give Love a Bad Name” by Bon Jovi. No, skip that. Think about lame supermarket music, Sadie. Stay focused. Must. Keep. Legs. Closed.

Hump Day Hook! Will Curiosity Kill The Fox?

For your teasing pleasure, and for my very first Hump Day Hook, here's a paragraph from ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE. An 80s rock romance set in Australia. OUT NOW!

rock you like a hurricane, an 80s rock romance set in australia, sirenic story from siren book strand and joanne kenrick
Shackled by the kind of curiosity known for killing the cat, and after this maybe the Fox, too, she weaved through the crowd. And there he was, Ryker Conall. The lead singer of Sirenic. The splendid sight stopped her dead in her tracks. He hadn’t changed. In that split second, neither had she. Sadie felt as she had the first time she clapped eyes on him all those years ago. Star-struck and lovesick. All the pain and hurt he had caused vanished, and it became one of “those” moments when every movement seems purposefully sensual and in slow-motion.
