#sixsunday Devlin's back...with a toy box!

It's a short Six Sunday this week, and it's dedicated to all who have been emailing me about Devlin and his crass tongue after having read Sweet Irish Kiss. Yes. He IS getting his own book. Yeay.
Here's a wee snippet (but it is six sentences, I counted). What has that Devlin been up to?
I hope you enjoy. And don't forget to drop by the main hub for Six Sentence Sunday to sample works from well over 100 authors! Oh happy days. It's like window shopping for books! WOOT
Happy Easter xx Save some choccie for me!

He put his hand to his forehead and faked a swoon. “Who am I kidding? Could ya see me taking home a girl to meet the folks? I think not. To meet the toy box, sure. But not the family.”

#sixsunday 32 -- Irishman going down on her, Sweet Irish Kiss

Sweet Irish Kiss is apart of the 1NightStand multi-author series, and is available for purchase in most eBook stores.

A whole night, no repercussions, with a red-hot gorgeous man who is the spitting image of Colin Farrell. Hmmm, he’s got stubble. What would that feel like brushing up against me?

Images of this hot, Irishman going down on her flashed before her; using his tongue to massage her clit, burying his fingers deep inside her, and his unshaven face scraping at her most sensitive parts. Her sex swelled from thinking about it. She had to experience that first hand, but first she had to stop him from leaving. -- (c) JoAnne Kenrick, Sweet Irish Kiss. All rights reserved.

Shaun Bell has stopped by...come drool, erm, I mean say hello!

It's been long since known that my inspiration for Shaun Bell in Sweet Irish Kiss came directly from the gorgeous Farrell, that sexy irishman who has dark eyes to die for, to get lost in, to give you that perfect come-to-bed wink. *sigh*
But Colin Farrell is also responsible for the absolute cheeky and crass Devlin McKinney, Shaun's bessie mate and full time bar-tender in Sweet Irish Kiss. Devlin's story is actually sitting on my computer, waiting for many rounds of edits and then it's fingers crossed that my editor still loves him as much as she did in Sweet Irish Kiss :)
Meantime, I thought I'd take my hat of to the man responsible for my Irish pub tales...so let's hear it for Colin Farrell.
And if you haven't brought Sweet Irish Kiss yet, an ARe and BookStrand bestseller, well, Shaun is impatiently tapping his foot, waiting to jump into your eReader to give you one of his infamous Sweet Irish Kisses.

BLURB... Shaun Bell, a divorced workaholic, spends all his time tending bar in his Irish Pub. He's ready to love again, but the women who visit his bar are only after his infamous Irish cocktails. At the advice of his darts team over a tanker or two of Beamish, he applies to 1Night Stand to get back into the swing of things and enjoy the company of a woman specially selected for him by Madame Evangeline.
Rachel Taylor has issues. Her father broke her mother’s heart with his cheating and Rachel swore never to let that happen to her, but one ruined relationship after another and she’s realized she's got to get over being closed off to men. Perhaps a one-night stand is just the baby step she needs to begin to build trust again.
A match seemingly made in heaven...until morning rolls around and Shaun can't bring himself to say good-bye. Can he win her over with his secret weapon, a Sweet Irish Kiss, or is Rachel still too scared to love?

sss 29 -- swirling uncertainty

Poor Rachel, will she ever get over her trust issues? Maybe Shaun is just the man for the job...

He leaned forward and put his soft lips to hers. Gentle, loving. If she didn't know better she'd swear she'd fallen in love with him, and he could break her heart by leaving her for another. Uncertainty swirled in her mind, and she allowed herself to indulge in his loving embrace for only seconds longer before leaping out of bed.

#sixsunday snippet from SWEET IRISH KISS -- Commando

Rachel slipped her hands up the crisp cotton shirt and explored his ripped torso, smooth and oh so tempting. She wanted to lick every ripple, every dip...later...no time for that now.
Consumed by thoughts of feeling him deep inside her, hunger led the way. She unbuckled his belt, yanked at the leather strap, and snaked it away. In a flash, she unzipped him, too. His pants fell to the ground and exposed a delicious delight, commando style. -- (c) JoAnne Kenrick, SWEET IRISH KISS coming soon to Decadent Publishing's 1NS ( 1 NightStand ) series.

Here's this week's Irish fix, as promised. I picked up the pace a bit from last weeks media clip -- mystical mermaids and Colin Farrell *sigh* -- This weeks is for those zombie/tongue-in-cheek humor fans. And no, I won't let this week slide by without a COLIN FIX (see below the vid for your CF!). After all, without Colin, there would be NO Shaun Bell in SWEET IRISH KISS. Shock horror! That thought is scarier than teenager zombies. EEK

sss 19 -- Honey & Vanilla

First he kissed her left ass cheek, then her right. Further up her back he went, gentle kiss by kiss. She tasted like honey and vanilla. He’d only have to throw in some whiskey and she would be medicinal. But there was no cure for what he had. Except her soft lips.

Due to my most awesome news last week, about landing a contract for my super sexy Irish short, I thought I'd keep on sharing the Irish love until release day. I hope you enjoy following along xx and I'll be sure to provide some eye-candy and other such entertainment from the beautiful Emerald Isles with each SSS!

I'll kick off the Irish fun with Ondine, as the hero is Colin Farrell. Those who have been following along my snippets know he was the inspiration for Shaun Bell from Sweet Irish Kiss. Ondine is a beautiful movie with the most amazing scenery and romantic atmosphere; rustic and simple with a touch of magical mermaid possibilities. If you haven't seen it yet, and fancy yourself a Colin FIX and some mermaid mysticism, then I advise you check it out! -- available on DVD or Netflix now!

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who dropped by my six each and every week. Your feedback is truly appreciated. If you liked this week's six, and want more, you can sneak a peek at my other snippets by checking out my previous SIX SUNDAY posts!

sss16 - Smooth Like Baileys

“Ya feeling better now?” Thick Irish accent, smooth like Baileys, coated each word her 1NightStand spoke.

“Uh-huh.” Rachel glanced up at his welcoming expression and caught her stare in his. “So, you're Irish?”

Shaun quirked his mouth into a grin as if she amused him.

So, as you've probably gathered, I shared from a new wip (work in progress) this week. I know, I know. You wanted more Skar. BUT, once it got out that Colin Farrell was the inspiration for the character (Shaun Bell) in a short I just started (intended for 1NS), I was more or less begged to share from this wip instead. Hope you enjoyed it. As always, your comments etc.. are truly appreciated and encouraged.
